Mooresville is a town located in the southwestern section of Iredell County, North Carolina, United States, and is a allocation of the fast-growing Charlotte metropolitan area. The population was 50,193 at the 2020 United States Census, making it the most populous municipality in Iredell County. It is located nearly 25 miles (40 km) north of Charlotte.

Several extra historic plantation homes are set in the Place as well, including the Johnson-Neel House, the Cornelius House, Forest Dell Plantation, and the colonial epoch Belmont Plantation.
